His- 14K gold.  Hers- 18K gold.  The bride's grandmother had been a jeweler at Tiffany's, and had passed down a puzzle ring held together with two hands- this is her engagement ring.  The couple wanted the groom's ring to have matching hands (without the puzzle), then a moon design on both rings.
